A good shot, but a little overkill.  To bad the deer was probably 1-1/2  years old.  If you are going to shoot a doe, how about a mature one that doesnt weigh about 60 lbs...

I think that rifle is a little over board.  You might try somthing smaller like a 270 win.  Good shot tho at least you didn't waste any meat.
