The Cabela's Outdoor Fund, with a mission to promote conservation and hunting, fishing, camping, boating and other outdoor sporting and recreational activities, has awarded a $225,000 grant to the Trailblazer Adventure Program

Dates for the highly-anticipated return of the Toyota Texas Bass Classic (TTBC), the world championship of professional bass fishing and country music festival, were announced today with all of the action set to begin Friday, Sept. 28.

This week's episode of TROPHY HUNTERS TV®, "Pay It Forward" follows Trinity Oaks on an uplifting hunt with some South Texas Youth. Followed by a trip to the Broken Spur Ranch where Matt Hughes and his son, Joey, spend their first Texas hunt of the Season.

Thanks to a generous donation from Larry and Brenda Potterfield, founders of MidwayUSA, 400 high school students from the Dallas, TX area had the opportunity to participate in this free event at last week's Dallas Safari Club (DSC) "Out of the Wild" convention, in collaboration with the Dallas Ecological Foundation's (DEF) Outdoor Adventures Education program.

Through its Collegiate Shooting Sports Initiative (CSSI), the National Shooting Sports Foundation has awarded $299,200 in grants to 41 colleges and universities to assist in the development and expansion of shooting sports programs. Of those schools receiving assistance, 11 are in the process of developing new shooting clubs.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation, the trade association for the firearms, ammunition, hunting and shooting sports industry, is now accepting proposals from state and regional wildlife agencies for Hunting Heritage Partnership (HHP) grants.
