Working to increase awareness for industry issues, the American Deer & Wildlife Alliance (ADWA) has unveiled a new free service for sportsmen and conservationists to receive select news from around the industry. ADWA’s new centralized service presents a numerous free online publications produced by equipment manufacturers, service providers, conservation organizations and associations, all of which provide unique insider information about what’s new in the industry.

College bass anglers are likely not the crown jewels of many campus sports programs yet, but the 200 competing in next month's 2008 BoatU.S. National Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship (NCBFC) are certainly getting some royal treatment as a result of their participation.

The Toyota Texas Bass Classic (TTBC), a unique team angling competition featuring the top professional anglers in the world, will be held at Lake Conroe, Texas in 2009. It will take place over Memorial Day weekend, May 22 - 24 and will adhere to strict slot limits that set it apart from other events. The event will benefit the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) and its outdoor recreation programs.

A new relationship has been conceived with the acquisition of Coyote Jakes, Inc. by Sellmark Corp. Manufacturing and distribution will be taken over by Sellmark in an effort to lower costs and also introduce the most new products to the shooting industry. This all-star combination will allow Coyote Jakes products to be enjoyed by more consumers due to the product being distributed to retailers across the country.

The field is set for the 2008 BoatU.S. National Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship (NCBFC), with 106 two-person teams representing 57 schools from 23 states registered to participate. The full-field enrollment makes it the largest college bass tournament ever held.

The newest member of the American Deer & Wildlife Alliance (ADWA), Muzzy, is well-known to serious bowhunters. The ADWA will work to introduce new Muzzy broadheads to ADWA members and the general public.

The Louisiana/Texas Division of the $8.8 million Walmart Bass Fishing League® will visit Sam Rayburn Reservoir in Jasper, Texas, September 20-21 for its final regular-season event. As many as 200 boaters and 200 co-anglers are expected to compete in the tournament, which will award as much as $67,500 in cash, including a top award of $9,000 in the Boater Division.
