Search Results:Hog poisoning in TexasSummary:
While I would have concerns on how well it would hold-up to beatings by wild hogs, my other question would be what would happen to the animals that feed on the carrion after it dies (vultures, coyotes, raccoons, possum, etc)? This poison has to get into the bloodstream, and if it gets into the bloodstream it can get ingested by other varmints. While I have no particular aversion to these kind of varmints they also clean-up our messes. Squirrel StewSummary:
Last month I also cooked up two tenderloins, cut up a half of one...he had eaten the entire thing before I was able to sit down with my plate! I have to hunt just to keep this boy fed! He eats Turtle Gumbo, Squirrel, all different kinds of Venison dishes, fresh fish, Wild Boar...all with stuff you wouldn't figre kids to eat. And I even make sure he knows what it is. I show it to him when I come home from the field, then tell him what it is before he eats it. Speaking of kids, at what age did you guys first take your kids hunting? and how did it work out? My dad would not take me until I was 10. I know I will take Chayton way before that, but when? Just a thought!Summary:
I agree with you. I've always loved hunting and fishing. 12 years ago hunting some what became a nacessity. I got married to a girl going to collage, and I was making 8.50 an hour. Times were hard. We lived on deer burger hamburger helper.Even some Mack Truck Buck. But we made it and are still gowing strong. We hunt for pleasure now, but we still respect the game we harvest. I still pick the bones clean when I butcher. We eat venison at least 3-4 nights a week, and wild hog. I appreceiate a good rack on a deer, but other than that, they aint nothin but draggin handles.
Coyote Goat-Roping in My Back Yard
Summary:
I was born and raised in West Texas and am an avid hunter. I now live in the Dallas area and have been here for the last 12yrs. These critters as a rule do not act like your dog and they will eat him. That said, the rule usually is, if a wild animal acts "FUNNY" something is wrong with it. If so the animal can be a danger to you and anyone else, especially the 5 yr old who wants to pet the "doggy". The solution is simple--even with your restrictions--22 behind the ear. Ware disposible gloves and a good trash bag loose evidence. Remember the ol' timers moto--one shot and they will listen--2 shots and they know where you are. < Previous Page 2958 results found Next Page >Showing results 11 through 20
