Summary:  Just wondered if any of you might know how the quail hatch is in West Texas. Dad and I hunt a lease north of Ozona and a couple of weeks ago we saw one large covey of Blues and one smaller group of Bobs. Another member of our group has been feeding all yr and has not seen many quail all yr.

The rain gods smile upon me again

Summary: Has anyone heard if it has rained in West Texas in the last few weeks? We hunt between Ozona and Barnhart.

Summary: We got a good rain over a 5 day period at our lease in west texas. Haven't heard if you got any in your neck of the woods.

Summary: Don't know exactly how much we got, but according to the weather service radar, we got between 3-4 in. over the last 5 days. We hunt West Texas so anything can only be GREAT. How did the rest of you do?

Our Quail are gone!

GOOD NEWS---IT RAINED A LOT

Summary: JUST RECIEVED THE GOOD NEWS, IT RAINED FOR THE LAST 3 DAYS, AND AS OF THIS MORNING IT WAS STILL RAINING ON MY LEASE IN WEST TEXAS. THE NEAREST TOWN HAD RECORDED OVER 2" OF BADLY NEEDED RAIN AS OF YESTERDAY. IT MAY BE A LITTLE TO LATE TO HELP WITH ANTLER DEVELOPMENT NOW, BUT ANY RAIN HAS TO BE GOOD....
