C&N Outfitters is a family outfitting business based in Sabinal, TX with over 30 years of experience guiding hunters. We are currently offering day hunting for doves in South Texas and both semi and fully guided bowhunts for trophy Whitetail deer, rio grande turkey and hogs - 100% fair chase! Our dove hunts start at $100 per day, per hunter, with a 2-day minimum; and we offer a variety of packages that include lodging and/or food. In order to encourage the next generation of hunters, C&N Outfitters offers discounted rates to youth hunters (-16 years): kids who share a spot with their guardian only pay $50 per day and youth hunters who want their own spot only pay $80 per day- but MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian. We also offer a limited number of package hunts that include food and/or lodging. if you are interested in information on one of these packages, please ask us for details, pricing and availability. Our dove hunting properties are located in Sabinal, TX and Knippa, TX - only 50 miles west of San Antonio. Our Sabinal property is just outside the city limits, which makes it ideal because the doves use the city (and the big trees in town) as a 'safe' place to roost at night and between feedings. This means the birds usually fly over our tree-lined property like clockworck as they travel to, and from, the irrigated fields that surround Sabinal. We are located on the southern-most edge of the "Central Zone" which means that the season opens on Sept. 1st for us. Everything south of our Sabinal property is in the "South Zone" which opens Sept. 18th. So, we typically get another boost when the South Zone opens and hunters south of us stir up the birds that have fled to the fields south of town during the first few weeks of September. Our Knippa property is a 700+ acre field that is surrounded by irrigated agriculture that includes corn and milo. There are some large (50+ acre) patches of native sunflowers in the field and there's a pivot irrigation system that will be allowed to flood for several weeks prior to the season opening- to provide migrating birds with a water source to help hold them. Our semi-guided and fully guided bowhunts are conducted on one of Texas' biggest bowhunting-only ranches. With 13,000 low-fenced acres in Uvalde County, we have lots of varied terrain that houses a strong whitetail deer, rio grande turkey and feral hog population. The hunting fee for the ranch is $140-150 per day and we charge $100 per stand we set up for you. We have a 2-stand minimum per person. After that, you are free to hunt self-guided for the standard $140-$150 per day. Dawson Whitetail Ranch

Hunters can choose heavily wooded (pecan, oak, etc.) creek and river bottoms, including 2 miles of the Sabinal River and Ranchero Creek, mesquite and pear cactus flats as well as high Guajillo hills, and everything in between! A fully working ranch, Brushy Hill has an abundance of water sources, including the Sabinal River, numerous tanks and troughs, and a number of wet & semi-creeks. The ranch is covered with typical South Texas high-protein shrubs and food sources that encourage horn-growth and ultimately produce the kind of trophy whitetail bucks for which this area is famous. Brushy Hill bow hunters have harvested numerous 150 and 160-class Pope & Young bucks over the past 14 years, and regularly harvest deer scoring in the 130s and 140s. The ranch record currently stands at 168 1/8" P&Y. Approximately 50 miles of ranch roads are grained daily, all year long, and there are almost 50 deer feeders (that run year-round) on the ranch- feeding both morning and evening. |
