Hunt / Bass Guide Service

Hunt / Bass Guide Service
Summary:

My name is Bryan Jones.  I have had the pleasure and great fortune to Bass fish in and around S. Texas for the past 20 years.  Fishing Amistad, Choke Canyon, and Falcon which I believe are the best top 3 big bass lakes here in S. Texas. I also fish local lakes around San Antonio, Tx.   I have seen these lakes at it's highest and lowest levels. I am prepared to teach you about your electronics, the newest and hottest ways of catching BIG BASS.

I have gained a wealth of knowledge over the years from not only fishing these lakes but fishing tournament trails all over Texas to bring you an awesome learning experience and hopefully a trophy bass of a life time.

Here at Hunt/Bass Guide Service our goal is to provide anglers of all ages and expertise, an experience that they will remember forever. In recent years, thanks largely to huge stringers being posted by tournament pros and Bass Champs tournament trail, the potential to catch big fish on these lakes has become nationally known.

If you have a larger group, I can accommodate when given plently of notice. Also can reccomend hotel to stay at.

Action Angler

Action Angler
Summary:

Meet Chris Jackson, Lead Guide:
Fishing experience from the Pacific to the Atlantic, as well as Belize.  I'm a full time fishing guide and owner of Action Angler & Outdoor Center on the Guadalupe River. My fly shop opened in May of 2002. I have over 30 years of fly fishing experience, which started on stock ponds in north east Texas. I caught my first trout on the fly in Colorado at age 12 while hiking the headwaters of the Rio Grande. I continue to fish Colorado at least once a year, and have fishing experience in numerous waters stretching from California to Maine and all the way down to Key West. My only experience out of the country is Belize. I'm always looking to share my experience with other anglers looking to fish the hill country, and learn from other anglers as well. (TXPW licensed fishing guide, and Colorado float guide certified)

Action Angler & Outdoor Center is the only stream side fly shop and guide service in Texas.  Action Angler has been in business since 2001, and we pride ourselves on providing customers with the best-quality products and personal service.  We offer an intro to fly fishing course, casting lessons, float trips (fishing or nature tour) on various Texas rivers, and a fly fishing guide school. (please inquire by email or phone about trips or lessons not listed on our online booking system) Weekday and Sunday afternoon Trips on the Guadalupe from December to April are ideal.

Rick Ransom Guide Service

Rick Ransom Guide Service
Summary:

Rick Ransom Guide Service provides guided striper fishing trips on Lake Buchanan, located on the Highland Lakes in Central Texas.  Buchanan is a big lake and its known for excellent striper fishing. The trick is knowing how and where  to catch them, that's where an experienced guide can help. I've been fishing Lake Buchanan since 1985 and have been working as a full- time striper guide since 1992.

I have been a fisherman for 40 years and enjoy showing people how to catch fish.  I fish with live bait, either drifting or anchored. Striper fishing on Lake Buchanan is generally good year round, with August and September being the slowest months. What time of day is up to you - we do morning, afternoon or full day trips. Limits on striper  are 5 fish, 18" or longer per person.

We provide everything you need, bait, rods & reels and filet and bag your catch. The only thing you'll need to take care of are food & drinks, and of course an ice chest to carry your catch home.   Be sure you bring your current, valid  Texas fishing license . Kids under 17 can fish without a license.

Our boat is a 2005 270cc Seapro powered by twin 255hp Hondas.  The boat is equipped with a large t-top for shade, Lorance LCX 104 fish finder, and a head for the ladies and accommodates up to 6 people.

Lake Buchanan is the largest of the Texas Highland Lakes at 22,300 acres.  Located west of the town of Burnet, on the Colorado River, it is known throughout the Texas Hill Country for its excellent striped bass fishing. Other fish species include white bass, largemouth bass, catfish and crappie.

I work out of Paradise Point Resort in Tow, but will pick up at most resorts on Lake Buchanan. Please contact me to make arrangements.
