Pasture is covered in mesquite with some areas more open than others. There is non-potable water in a 1000 gallon tank but no electricity. Camping area is separate from hunting area. It is a 2 buck 3 doe county. There is 5 miles of dirt road to get to lease. It is approx.13 miles west of Coleman, TX off highway 153. No blinds nor feeders are supplied. Barnett Ranch

HUNTING & FISHING LEASE
1400 Acre Colorado River and Pecan Bayou year around hunting and fishing lease for the 2008/2009 season. Located in the North West region of the beautiful Texas Hill Country in Mills County. Ranch has had a Deer, Fish and Wildlife management Program in place for many years and with outstanding results. The deer are not small like the hill country deer (up to 22-inch spreads). We manage the deer population and kill 5 ½ year old mature bucks. There are existing tower blinds, ground and bow stands. We have turkey, dove, quail, duck, some exotic rams and small game. We have several wildlife food plots and 3 oat and sunflower patches of 30+- acres. No goats or sheep are stocked on the ranch.
We’ve caught Florida Black Bass up to 11.7 pounds, yellow catfish up to 50 pounds, crappie, channel and blue catfish and crawfish. The 25 acre and 13 acre lakes produce large trophy bass. Approximately 3/4 miles of Colorado River and 1/2 miles of Pecan Bayou and many stock tanks have outstanding fishing.
The furnished rock Ranch house has Central heat/air, sleeps 14+, 2 bathrooms, a large kitchen, 2 outside patios, a large BBQ grill and oak wood floors. Several camping sites with electricity are provided for a camping trailer at the river and by the house and barn. The Ranch has beautiful scenery with seasonal creeks, good tree and brush cover and an abundance of water. We have recorded over 130 species of birds and the huge creeks, hills, rough and rugged terrain provides great habitat for wildlife. We have good ranch roads, many trails for hiking and beautiful sites for camping. Great Golf courses nearby: San Saba, Lampasas, Goldthwaite and Brownwood.
This ranch provides much more than almost any other lease you will find. It is ideal for family(s), group or corporation.
Cost of the 12 month lease is $45,000 per year, about $3,000 for 16 members. Wildlife biologist estimate about 60 deer should be harvested each year and number of hunters can be controlled by you. Additional expenses would be deer corn, planting oats, house utilities etc.

Sawblade Ranch
Summary: The Sawblade Ranch, owned by Johnny and Jerry Lowrance, is located in North Central Texas 1 hour Northwest of Fort Worth. It is located 6 miles west of Chico, Texas, on Hwy 1810 on the Wise and Jack County Line. This ranch has over 2100 acres of high fence and has been under wildlife management for approximately 5 years. The rugged terrain of this ranch is complimented by 3 miles of "Big Creek" that runs through the property. Historically, the ranch was once the home of the Earhart Station on the Butterfield Overland Stagecoach Line. You will also find throughout the ranch - several caves, arrowheads, and ancient fossils.
The Sawblade Ranch has an abundance of trophy whitetail deer, wild hogs and turkey, and is a paradise to the avid outdoorsman. One will find much to do throughout the ranch including hunting trophy whitetails, turkey, blackbucks, hogs, and we even offer photo safaris. Whether you are pursuing wild game or just relaxing, guests will find our new 4 bedroom, 4 bath lodge both comfortable and full of all the creature comforts of home.
Being a scientific whitetail breeder, the Sawblade Ranch has 150-200 whitetail deer in our scientific whitetail breeding program. Our foundation stock includes genetics from Tommy Dugger, 777 Ranch, Malouf, Sawdust, Gene Gonzales, V-Tex Whitetails, Pico Ranch, and several other top whitetail breeders. We are currently in our third year of implementing artificial insemenation at Sawblade Ranch. Our whitetail does are being bred to 200 - 400+ B&C class genetics which include some of the best known trophy whitetail genetics from High Roller, Bambi 727, Soaring Eagle, Rold Gold, BB Peanut, and several other top breeders. 12 new hunting blinds taht hold 2 people each are already placed on the property and will be heated when needed. Each blind has a feeder at it that will be full at all times along with 8-10 protein feeders that will be kept up by the ranch manager. The new cleaning barn has two new wenches to help in the cleaning of animals as well as a walk-in cooler. The outdoor fire pit will have wood provided for it at all times and we even have a place to shoot your rifle and skeet during the day. Dishnet TV's in the house as well at outside in the covered area. 4 kawasaki double-seated mules will be provided for the hunters and will be full of fuel at all times. We are looking for someone that is interested in taking 30 bucks scoring from 130-180 BC every year and at least 30 does as well. The Strip Ranch
Summary: 2650 acres in Throckmorton County which is known for its big bucks and lots of deer, turkeys, hogs, ducks, varmints, and dove. There is a camp site with electric available but no existing water. ~250 total acres of winter wheat, plenty of stock tanks with good fishing, 2 miles from the Brazos River. Terrain offers high bluffs, heavy mesquite cover, large trees along a seasonal creek, and good roads throughout. This is an annual lease with full access year round. Guests are allowed but they shoot from your tags (1 buck, 2 doe county). A B&C book deer was taken on this property. Borders the 18,000 Travis County school land on the west side and borders larges private ranch on the east and north. This land will not be leased to other quail hunters and quail rights are not included. Looking for a group to lease it all.
