Double Diamond Outfitters specializes in Texas hunts.  We work with numerous well managed ranches across the state which allow us to offer some of the best whitetail, pronghorn, exotics and Rio Grande turkey that Texas has to offer.  Being based out of San Antonio we are within about 2 hours of all the ranches we hunt.  It does take a little longer to get to West Texas, where we hunt pronghorn, but it's well worth the drive.

Our hunts are fully guided and include meals, lodging, transportation in the field, and field care of your trophy.  The exception to this are our turkey hunts, which are semi-guided, allowing you avid turkey hunters the opportunity to call for yourself (guides are available upon request).

Working with numerous ranches and having numerous species available, we can easily accommodate individuals, families, or corporate groups on all of our hunts. Mule Deer Lease in West Texas

In recent years, Texas has emerged as a bonafide destination for quality mule deer hunting.  And as you have seen through the mulies that WSI has been taking, there are indeed some great bucks turning up here.

For anyone looking for a quality mule deer lease, we have a great opportunity for you to consider.  The O2 Ranch is a historic property located south of Alpine.  Encompassing a total of over a quarter of a million acres, there is an approximate 90,000 acre block that is available for a group of mule deer hunters.  This is vast, unspoiled country, with desert flats, mountains, and canyons.  Your group will be able to harvest one mature mule deer buck, hogs, and predators, during the 16 day general mule deer season, which opens the weekend after Thanksgiving.

There are no facilities on the ranch, but there is a designated site that has water, and the ranch is willing to provide use of a 25 kw generator.  So, you can bring an RV, or set up your tents, enjoy your campfire underneath Chihuahuan Desert stars, and hunt big mule deer on big country.  We would like one group to commit to all 10 spots.  Not interested in piece-mealing this lease.

Fishing experience from the Pacific to the Atlantic, as well as Belize.  I'm a full time fishing guide and owner of Action Angler & Outdoor Center on the Guadalupe River. My fly shop opened in May of 2002. I have over 30 years of fly fishing experience, which started on stock ponds in north east Texas. I caught my first trout on the fly in Colorado at age 12 while hiking the headwaters of the Rio Grande. I continue to fish Colorado at least once a year, and have fishing experience in numerous waters stretching from California to Maine and all the way down to Key West. My only experience out of the country is Belize. I'm always looking to share my experience with other anglers looking to fish the hill country, and learn from other anglers as well. (TXPW licensed fishing guide, and Colorado float guide certified)

Action Angler & Outdoor Center is the only stream side fly shop and guide service in Texas.  Action Angler has been in business since 2001, and we pride ourselves on providing customers with the best-quality products and personal service.  We offer an intro to fly fishing course, casting lessons, float trips (fishing or nature tour) on various Texas rivers, and a fly fishing guide school.
