We have over 200 ranches available to hunt. No Membership, no club, just plain hunting. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For example in GMU0 76, we access the public ground via a private property which allows us prime hunting because the animal are not bothered by public land hunters. Then as the season gets underway we get inundated with animals being pushed to us by the public hunting pressure on the other end of the national forest. We hunt GMU082, an over the counter elk unit in 2nd & 3rd season. We are nestled in the Sangre de Cristo’s rough terrain, classified as a wilderness area. We furnish drop camp hunts which include tents, camp gear, cookware, and wood stoves. We pack you into camp along with your food and personal gear. We may make arrangements to check in with you during your hunt. Then we will pack you out along with your game. We hunt private land in GMU085, an over the counter license elk unit with a limited number of landowner mule deer vouchers being available to us. This Outfitter is a native of Colorado, licensed, bonded and insured, and have been outfitting for over twenty years. Under Colorado law, outfitters cannot guarantee kills to clients, nor would we if we could. But what we can do is offer fair chase hunting in prime big game areas with low hunter pressures. On my hunts, you will see and do things very few people are privileged to enjoy.... that is, hunting private ground without the pressure of public hunters. The reason is we have 30,000 acres and only allow 6-8 hunters on the land per season. If you don’t want to see each other you won’t. Our horses are mountain-trained. They are even-tempered and sure-footed so any beginner can ride and enjoy it. Water is very limited and even more so in the earlier seasons when deer and elk don’t have access to snow for moisture. Since this is a working cattle ranch we have stock ponds in specific areas of the ranch which the cattle and the wild game must use for water. I can't control the weather or Lady Luck but I will be totally prepared for your hunt with good food, cooks, guides, horses and jeeps. We'll hunt from daylight to dark to help you secure your animal. A hunter's checklist, license applications, shipping/transportation instructions, and maps of the area will be sent to you by June. Colorado's deer/elk rifle seasons are currently set up into four different seasons running from mid-October to mid November. Our past record speaks for itself. We encourage potential clients to talk with our previous clients. That's your best guarantee. We sincerely care about your hunt and want you to be totally satisfied with us. We're like you, we don't mind paying for a service if we get that service. We appreciate your interest in our outfit and hope you decide to join us this season. My private ground hunt areas for deer and elk are GMU’s 21,22,31, and 10. These areas near Rifle, Colorado are known locally as the Piceance Basin. At one time this was the largest single deer migration point in the world. It is still the winter home of thousands upon thousands or deer and elk. This area large area is surrounded by 1000 foot cliffs that are covered with cedar, oak brush, aspen and some scattered pine. The "camp" is a 2800 square foot log lodge, with a modern kitchen, large bathroom, great room with wood stove and a sleeping cabin that will accommodate 20 people. We normally only hunt 6-8 people at a time, but will take larger groups if they are in one party. We try to keep our groups small to facilitate better service. The area is composed of many ridges, bluffs and canyons that are accessible by jeep, ATV, or horseback. Cedar, pinion pine and oak brush are the main cover. The head of the canyons have spruce and aspen trees that provide great bedding areas. Live water is not readily available here but that works to our advantage as it concentrates game coming to drink at the springs and water tanks. The archers and muzzleloaders are well aware of this concentrating effect. We have permanent "tree" stands at these locations to hunt out of which is a unheard of way to hunt elk and mule deer in the west but it is quite successful. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Royal Drop Hunts Royal Drop Hunts (unguided) - Private Ground We do all the work - you have all the fun. Royal Drop Hunts will also be provided in area 22 Piceance Creek. This area is recognized as one of the top hunting areas for deer and elk in Colorado for the past four years. Our self guided hunts are designed for the hunter who wants the challenge of the hunt but doesn't want the hassle of food preparation, setting up camp, getting firewood, packing out game and so forth. Our bed/meals camp is designed to make your hunt enjoyable, not a job. Breakfast will be prepared, lunches packed and a big country dinner at the end of the day. Steaks, roasts, chops, fried chicken with all the trimmings plus desserts. We even do the dishes while you relax with friends reviewing the day's hunt or planning for tomorrow with one of our employees. Your transportation will be supplied and fueled up for your use each day. Jeep and ATV's are provided for your use. We will spend the afternoon before your scheduled hunt to begin orienting you to the area and the game movements. Maps with the road and possible game locations will be provided for your use. Additional tips will be given each day on how to hunt the deer and elk in our area. We will go out with you at times to show you the area but will not be guiding you. This is a great area for the self-guided hunt with great success. Upon securing your game, we will help you dress it out, pack it to camp for you, skin it for mounting or processing and take it to town to be cut and wrapped and ready for you when you leave. Our wrangler will help you in all ways without actually guiding you. The very young hunter or the mature, seasoned hunter will surely enjoy this economical hunt. Speckled Trout & Redfish Guide Rockport Texas
Captain Coufal began his fishing career fishing East and West bays in Matagorda Texas. This is where he had the opportunity to study fishing patterns throughout the years and hone his skills. He then had the opportunity to fish Rockport Texas and was instantly attracted to the vast bay systems that the area had to offer. The unique variety ranging from the deep shell reefs of San Antonio bay, the abundance of back lakes, to the always fish-able grass bottom of Estes flats, made for an easy decision to make Rockport his home. Rockport definitely provides the best opportunity for consistent fishing year-round than anywhere else on the Texas coast. Fishing styles Captain Coufal will always work hard to ensure that your outing will be a memorable one. He can accommodate all styles of fishing ranging from: wading with artificial lures, drifting with live bait, or anchoring up to ambush schooling redfish. Cast and Blast OutfittingSummary:
