Back to School - Now Is the Time To Take Hunter EducationSummary: Just as you shouldn't get behind the wheel of a car without knowing the rules of the road, hunters in Texas need to know the laws of the land before going afield. That's why every hunter born on or after Sept. 2, 1971 who is at least 12 years old must pass a Hunter Education Training course. Certification is NOT required to purchase a hunting license, but proof of certification must be carried while hunting.

And every year, TPW holds a banquet to present some outstanding volunteers and partners with Lone Star Legends awards. This year's banquet was April 2 at the University of Texas Alumni Center.
