Texas Clipper Artificial Reef Sinking Postponed to Nov. 16Summary: World War II troop transport, New York City luxury liner, and sea cadet training vessel — is now expected to make her final journey Friday. Weather permitting, the Texas Clipper will be sent to the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico Nov. 16 to become an artificial reef.
The sinking is now tentatively scheduled for Friday afternoon, a day later than originally planned, since a cold front arriving Thursday is causing choppy seas. |
