TPWD Offers Grants To Support Texas Wildlife Action PlanSummary: The Texas Wildlife Action Plan is a proactive strategy to keep common species common. It focuses mainly on “nongame” wildlife, animals that are not hunted or fished, including some that are not yet rare but could become so if proactive steps are not taken soon. Each year, threatened and endangered species receive funding through the Endangered Species Act and game animals receive support through hunter dollars spent on licenses, firearms, and ammunition.
TPWD Commission Passes ‘Party Boat' License Rules for Inland WatersSummary: The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission Thursday approved the publication of proposed regulations that would require party boat operators to be licensed and their boats inspected and insured.
Language included in House Bill 12, enacted by the 80th Texas Legislature, requires the commission to regulate party boats on inland lakes and waterways. |
