156 7/8 Whitetail from Hemphill County, 162 7/8 Mule Deer from Hudspeth County, and 71 6/8 Pronghorn Antelope from Hartley County.

Colby Ferland harvested a Mule Deer (179.5) and Pronghorn (74) on the Sierra Blanca Ranch in Hudspeth County. He also took a 155.75 net Whitetail on the Trophy Ranch in Hunt, Texas. Combined, this earned him recognition by the Texas Big Game Awards as a recipient of the 2008 Texas Slam Award.

Mr. Eason earned the 2nd Archery Texas Slam. Just so we are clear, that means there has only been ONE BEFORE (which was also him).

Lake Waco deer found dead in the lakebed by park ranger. A TPWD biologist took these pictures. Deer scored 216 net. 5.5 years old. He estimated it had been submerged for 1-2 years.

I had No idea there are deer this big around Waco.

Donald Starks harvested a Mule Deer in Culberson County with a net score of 159; a Pronghorn in Hudspeth County with a net score of 72 4/8; and a whitetail deer in Robertson County on the Corson Ranch with a net score of 184 7/8.

He was recognized for his accomplishments during the Texas Big Game Awards Ceremony that was held as part of the annual Texas Wildlife Association Banquet in San Antonio in June of 2008.

I was at TPWD Headquarters for a meeting today and this crazy boy walked by the conference room window. Can you imagine? Where was he all season?!?
