TPWD Stocks Lakes With Striped and Hybrid Bass

Summary: In the past couple of months, nearly 4 million striped bass fingerlings have been stocked into 13 lakes and about 2 million hybrid striped bass fingerlings have been stocked in 29 lakes. These mark the first striped bass stockings from a Texas hatchery since 2000 after naturally occurring, toxic golden alga wiped out all hatchery stock last year.

Wildlife Management Symposium Coming Up

Summary: The early registration deadline is approaching for a symposium put on by the Texas Organization of Wildlife Management Associations (TOWMA). It is being held in conjunction with the association's second statewide conference in Kerrville on Aug. 9-10 at the Y.O. Ranch Resort Hotel and Conference Center. Anyone interested in wildlife management is invited to attend and the early registration deadline is July 20.
