Texas Off Highway Vehicle Decals Enforced Starting January 1

Summary: On Jan. 1, 2007, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department game wardens and other authorities will begin enforcing the requirement for all qualifying trail vehicles to have a current Texas Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) decal properly mounted on their trail vehicles when used at OHV venues on public land in Texas.

Coastal Fisheries Bay Team Tournaments Scheduled for 2007

Summary: CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department kicks-off the 2007 Coastal Fisheries Bay Team program with two events in South Padre Island April 7 and April 21.

Boaters Reminded "Nobody's Waterproof," Safety Encouraged

Summary: AUSTIN, Texas — Texas had 47 boating fatalities in 2006, surpassing 40 for the first time since 2002, when the state led the nation with 61. Most of those tragedies were preventable, since on average 85 percent of boating fatality drowning victims who drowned were not wearing a life jacket when recovered.

TPWD Archery in the Schools Program Offers Instructor Training in August
