Search Results:Shark Fishing Off A Pier
Summary:
Here's a little taste of Shark Week before actual Shark Week. This fisherman and friends tries to reel in a 9' shark on to a raised fishing pier. Looks like they put the fight out of her but reeling up on the pier is another story all together. I believe this was caught off the Tampa Skyway. Atascosa installs a 14" Tower Blind (5.5' x 5.5') at our East Texas Farm
Summary:
I met Atascosa Wildlife Supply at the Annual Texas Wildlife Association Meeting, then at all three Texas Trophy Hunter's Extravaganzas, and then finally at the Texas Deer Association Annual Meeting. Each time they tried to sell me a deer stand. I wanted a deer stand since Hurricane Rita knocked down our old tower blind in East Texas. I tried to not buy the most expensive deer stand in Texas, but every time I talked to a welder or another supplier of deer stands and explained that I wanted a tower blind with a staircase that would hold me and my three kids, that would be safe enough for my little kids to walk up and down in the dark, and would have a floor height of at least 14", they said they could do it but highly recommended that I didn't. They all told me 10' is all I needed. Finally I started asking who they would recommend if this is what I had to have and they all said "Atascosa". In the end, the stand worked out great! However, this video of their install is a different story. I will let you be the judge. a legend passes away

Summary:
The best way I can sum up this video is with a Lifetime Move-ish title <ahem>...Please enjoy Vicente Pena and Jason Parrish in "Call Me Crazy: The South of the Border, Varmint Calling and Bobcat Chased Off By a Doe Story." Seriously, cool footage of a bobcat being pushed off by a Doe protecting her fawn...and lot's of other good stuff. (ie. as far as I know they were both sober.) ;) 9 Year Old Girl's "First Deer"
Summary:
My daughter harvested her first whitetail this afternoon. It was a doe, using a Horton HD175 crossbow. Other than providing some forearm support because of how nose-heavy crossbows are, she did everything else on her own. The doe was at about 15 yards, and we had already spooked off a handful of deer learning to not move and be quiet. I am looking forward to sharing the rest of the photos and video, along with her version of the story. It was a very wonderful day. Take a child hunting if you can. The tall tales start!
Summary:
This was the first time I took my son rattling. His Pop (LSmith6749) passed down his old set of horns and he was infected with the bug! We rattled up about a 140 class 9pt to about 15 yards in which he spotted first and the excitement on his face I will never forget. I started with about a 3 min segment and then i let him finish with his interpretation and that is when the big one rolled in! This is his story about what happened. Houston Gun Ad 'Buy Cheap, Bury Deep'
Summary:
A controversial gun store ad has some Houstonians wondering about the
real meaning behind, "Buy them cheap. Bury them deep," KPRC Local 2
reported Wednesday. CLICK HERE to read the story. Mountain Lion Hunt Video with Jason Parrish
Summary:
This trip is one of the most memorable, exciting, and beautiful experiences I have had in the outdoors. There were so many things to experience: mountains, snow, elk, elevation, tracking, watching the dogs work, learning from the guides, and more. The more I thought about writing a Journal Entry, the more I realized that it would be 10 pages so I might as well just show the video and let it tell the story. The Outfitter was Mark V Outfitters, Robert Roll. CLICK HERE to learn more about his operations. The Head Guide was Freddie Seeds, who is also the Fire Chief at Los Alamos Labs. Knowing that you have an EMT with you on a Mountain Lion Hunt in the wilderness is comforting. They also run Black Bear, Elk, Pronghorn, and Bison hunts. 51 results found Next Page >Showing results 1 through 10
