TEXAS LEGISLATIVE WRAP-UP (06/04)

Summary: On Monday, May 28, the Texas Legislature adjourned sine die, ending what could be considered one of the most successful legislative sessions for NRA-ILA and the Texas State Rifle Association! This was another of a string of successful legislative sessions. In 1995, it was the Concealed Handgun Law. In 1997, that legislation was improved. In 1999, there was the legislation preempting municipal lawsuits against the gun industry. In 2001, more important unfinished business resulted in the passage of much-needed shooting range protection legislation and a bill to get NRA's Eddie Eagle GunSafe firearm accident prevention program introduced in most, if not all of, the larger school districts in Texas!

TEXAS LEGISLATIVE UPDATE

Summary: Congratulations NRA and Texas State Rifle Association members! Governor Rick Perry signed all three NRA-supported bills passed by the Texas Legislature this session before the June 17 deadline.

TPW SETS COURSE FOR QUAIL CONSERVATION EFFORTS
