Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program Recognizes 75 Years of Wildlife Conservation and Partnership SuccessSummary:
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) joins the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (AFWA), and other partners at the 2012 SHOT Show to announce the start of a yearlong celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program (WSFR), one of the most significant and successful partnership approaches to fish and wildlife conservation in U.S. history. Wilson Whitetail Ranch - Exotics
Summary:
South Texas (very similar to South Africa’s landscape and climate) is one of the very few places in the world that has sustainable breeding and hunting populations of trophy big game species from other continents introduced back in the 1970’s. In fact through recent efforts of SCI and the EWA, several of these species such as the Black Buck Antelope and Scimitar Oryx are being reintroduced from Texas ranches back into their native lands where they are currently extinct. African and European game species are classified as Texas Exotics due to their non-native status and therefore have no closed season and do not require tags or drawing. Wilson Whitetail Ranch and Lodge offers hunters interested in adding to their trophy game rooms 11 species of Exotics to hunt on our private ranch. You may book a hunt just for Exotics or they may be added to any other hunting trip. Exotic hunts are primarily hunted by “spot and stalk” methods. Lodging features a 5300 sq ft lodge which includes six private bedrooms that accommodates 14 guests. Handicap hunters welcome. Final Rule for Addax, Dama Gazelle and Scimitar-Horned Oryx
Summary:
On January 5, 2012, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service published its Final Rule governing the breeding and taking/culling of addax, dama gazelle and scimitar-horned oryx. The exemption from permitting is being eliminated, and the same two permits (Captive Bred and TAKE) that apply to barasingha, Arabian oryx, Eld's deer and red lechwe, will apply to the three species. < Previous Page 2214 results found Next Page >Showing results 11 through 20
