Summary: Anita and Charlie Rogers could hear the bellowing in the night. Their neighbors had been telling them that they had seen a mammoth alligator in the waterway that runs behind their house but they dismissed the stories as exaggerations. "I didn't believe it," Charles Rogers said. Friday they realiz...
Carry a backup?Summary: With the wild boar problem in Texas. How many carry a backup pistol for protection against a boar charge going to or from a stand or in case one charges your ground blind after a shot with your bow? If so, what do you carry? When ever I'm out I carry a .357 mag Security Six or .45 Star Firestar....
.45/70 RevolverSummary: My buds dad has a BFR .45/70 Gov't Revolver . I had the chance to shoot it and I liked it very much. It's not a plinking pistol, after three round of 300 gr's my palm was stinging. I was shooting across a river at a weed on the opposite bank, it took 3 shoots to uproot the plant. Link_Here ...
Real Men tattoo the ruler to their arm
Summary:
It would be funny to see a measuring stick tattooed across a 20 year olds hard abs and then a follow up shot at about 40, 50 and age 60. Dang it!!! DuckWhacker, now you got me thinking about looking at pictures of guys bellies :-) On second thought that would be better looking than the last picture you posted of that old winkled bikini.
Texas InterestSummary:
Allen, I have posted a copy of the hunting and fishing packages that you offer, which are well priced. I would put together a well done information board to place in business like the Tye Truck Stop plus outdoor, firearm business, feed stores and wild life expos in Abilene and San Angelo. TexasHuntFish could put together a nice CD that could be played on a small TV set at many local business that attract the same type of customers that you want. When I go to Cabela's and there is a CD playing on a screen, I always stop and watch wishing that I was there. In running a business, I personally would go for fewer people with deeper pockets than for more people with shallow pockets. I would want fewer people out and about disturbing my game. There is a growing number of once upon a time hunters that now just want to get out and look like their hunting while really just enjoying nature. They have grown soft living in the big cities and they enjoy nature. They have no intention of shooting an animal, many of these will make a "bad" shot just to save face and tell about the nice one that got away. These guys are good too. So again, good luck and I'm interested to see what suggestions others have to offer you.
Jerry, Jake and Country's first hog
Summary: I went to visit Jerry this past weekend in the Davis Mountains, on Sunday morning Jerry, Jake(his son) and myself loaded into the Mule for a ride up the canyon to check a trap set for hogs. The trap was built by an old rancher for a mt. lion trap, but never had any luck. Back in Feb. we loaded i...
I need sugestions for my daughters first shotgun.Summary:
I got a H&R .410 at the age of seven, it's is now 40 years old. I took my daughter on her first dove hunt ( cactus shoot ) at the age of six. On our next dove hunt ( cactus shoot ) my daughter said to me, "Dad, you got this gun when you were seven and it would be nice if I got it now that I'm seven". That is what I was hoping would happen, so she is now the owner of my first shoot gun. There will be many of jealous young men at school when your daughter get a shot gun. My daughter loves to tell the boy's that she is going hunting. Check out the New England Arms .410. I get the low brass shells for her to use. At twelve, I got her a New England Arms single shot .223 w/scope for deer hunting. She got her first at age 12.
