I will be using a rifle on public land. The terrain is hilly & densley wooded,  I can't see taking a shot over 50 yards, 25-30 would be more realistic.

I watched a 125- 150lbs, boar climb out of 4+8 trap with no top, shot um, put panel on top.   have guy on lease that looses hogs no bottom,they dig out ,or move trap get nose under it  there GONE. he just welded panel togather. no added suport no nothing. this i AM 11 in freezer, other guy 0, ... I would put top and secure. good luck happy hunting
