Honored American Veterans Afield (H.A.V.A.) hosted the organization's 2nd Annual National Family Day on November 14, 2008 at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, Texas. The event was attended by 89 disabled veterans and active duty military personnel from various military facilities in the San Antonio area.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) has appointed James Curcuruto as director, industry research and analysis.

The National Wild Turkey Federation distributed nearly $250,000 in October 2009 as it continues to advance its mission of benefiting wildlife conservation and protecting hunting traditions. The dollars are distributed to states and programs through the NWTF Hunting Heritage Super Fund.

Kids & Clays benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities would like to thank all of the people who participated in the 2009 National Drawing. Tickets were sold beginning at the SHOT Show in Orlando last January, at many of the Ronald McDonald House Sporting Clay events, and culminated at the National Sporting Clays Event in San Antonio on November 1, 2009 where the winning tickets were drawn.
