JE, Very good post, I was raised with a 22-250. My dad loved the 22-250, he customed loaded all his ammo and he could make it produce. We had a shooting range set up on the home place, nice rock solid shooting bench. Targets at 25, 50, 75, 100, 200, 300, 400 yards, which was near the back of our coastal field. One day my mom came in the house and told my dad that there were several turkeys at the back of the coastal field. Dad got the 22-250 and walked to the shooting bench, took aim and down goes a turkey, took aim and down goes a second turkey. Both turkeys shot above the pully bone at 425 yards. That's the truth. Gun Control Witness - Everyone needs to watch this
Summary:
Her parents were killed in the Lubby Cafeteria shooting in Texas a number of years ago. Where a mad man drove his car into the Lubby's and started killing as many people as he could. No one had a gun to protect themselves and stop the person from walking around and killing people like sitting ducks. She is for individuals having the right to bear arms and protect themselves. Last statement, she says that the Second Amendment is for all of us (pointing behind her) to protect ourselves from all of you ( pointing toward the government representatives). Hope this helps, maybe someone can do a better job. Nice leather work there RC. don How old were your kids on their first hunt?Summary:
My daughter started dove hunting with me at 5 and at 6 shooting my ole .410 at cactus. At age 7 on our dove hunt she says, dad....your dad gave you this .410 when you were 7 and I am now 7. I said yea! ........long pause..........Would you like to have my ole .410? She said, YEA!!! She got the gun and has not been dove hunting again. She did get her first deer at 12 with her very own .223, picture in the youth hunts. She wants to get a deer this year, but it has been to hot for her or to cold for her. Ya da Ya da! We will get one after Christmas at the same ranch as her first one, darning extended doe season. Her kind of hunting is, get in the blind with dad and shot a doe that comes to the corn the rancher puts out when he drives off. Start to finish 45 min's including photo shoot and dad get to clean the deer. Wear camo to school and show the picture to all the girly girls and boys that she wants to impress.
