I will be on a doe hunt on the last weekend so hope the count will go up. As well as the amount of meat in my freezer.
2 - Javalina
A few dozen Dove
1 - coyote and counting.
No Ducks yet but I will have some before the season ends.
Not a bad year for me but now I'm going after the hogs also. Will be setting up at the lease and on some of the WMAs. Also, I will be chasing the Hybrid/Striper and Whitebass this winter and spring. Boys, Im glad that my wife likes to eat wild game and fish or I might be getting a divorce as much as I have been gone this year.
Here are some pics of Waco! Isnt he cute?
Summary: Nice dog, will you have him ready for dove season? Are you going to train him yourself or have it done? If you plan on training Waco yourself there are some good books that will help. I have a personal favorite titles simply "How to Train Your Own Gun Dog". This book covers training all breeds, retrievers, pointers and flushers. Check it out and get started right away as he is ready to start learning. I wish I had time to get another gun dog myself but I have a 5 and 13 year old that keep me too busy already. Good luck and have fun.
Light for bow neededSummary:
When I got home and was cleaning up the bow from riding around on the 4 wheeler I was able to get the light to fit on my site pin just like yours did. I cannot wait to go hunt with it again. I think this light will come in handy during deer season and any other time you are hunting with a bow. I would suggest that all bowhunters get one sence it is legal even for deer hunting. It give you that last few minutes of light for shooting. Where did you get that mag light stabilizer mount you had on your bow, I want one of them for shining on the hogs at night. I found there is a red lens for it but have not found a blue lens. I was reading yesterday on lights for hogs and the article was saying that blue lignts were what hogs cannot see and will not spook when they are used. I don't know which color would be best? Havent been on in a while!Summary:
Hey Danny, good to see you back on the forum. I still want to go to San Angelo State Park for the bow hunt in October so if you get a chance to go take a look at the place let me know how it looks. How is Waco's training coming along? Will he be ready for dove season? I hope to get to hunt with both of you some day. Talk to you later. 111 results found Next Page >Showing results 1 through 10
