He is technically correct on some things "crop manipulation" such as shredding corn/sunflowers etc, the day before season is still technically illegal.

If it is in the normal course of agriculture/harvest etc, you are ok  BUT, if they can show it was done within 2 weeks of dove season, and it was done to bait for them, it is technically illegal.
