Summary:
Shot this 8 point with a broken g2 at 7:15am Saturday after Christmas. A great season capper. 20 inch inside spread. 4 1/2 inch at the tips of the antlers on both sides, I call him "Paddlehorn". NO FEEDERS, NO GUIDE, DID NOT PAY FOR NOTHING. JUST THE BUCK BOMB I BROUGHT HIM IN WITH! THIS HUNTING LAND IS FOR SALE, IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CHECK IT OUT...LET ME KNOW ITS ON A WEBSITE I WILL GIVE YOU THE LINK TO. How to fix a Buck Alpha hunter
Summary:
Ok if you have ever used a Buck Alpha Hunter on frozen meat or to dress out more then one deer. You know that it is a poorly designed knife. I used mine to cut up some inexpensive briskets that HEB had on sale for 38 cents a pound. (This was about three years ago.) I found out really quickly that the high back on the blade really messes up your hand when you are having to put pressure on it. So I fixed the problem using great care a hand grinder bowl of water (to keep the knife from getting too hot while grinding. You don't want to burn off the tempered heat treatment) And then I finished it off with a table mounted belt sander. Now its an awesome skinning knife!!!! With all the metal trimmed down so that if is closer to the handle it is very comfortable to use. Also this modification does not affect they way it fits into the sheath. If you bought one of these and have not been happy with it I suggest that you modify it like I did. You will not be disappointed. 55 results found Next Page >Showing results 1 through 10
