Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) reports that this alligator gar, caught yesterday on the Trinity River, could be the new state record. I wonder where on the ?Trinity River this gar was caught?

or better know as the beautiful Carp. My wife snagg this 20lb guy whille we were Bass fishing on Texohma last month. She hung him in the tail with a sassy shad and the fight was on for the next 15 minutes. I had to pull the boat to the bank to get the fish in and the laughing began. She had never seen such a beautiful specimen of a fish. She thought she had the lake record large mouth on. I'm still laughing   oh and she would not pose with her lovly catch either i had to

We got the fish certified at 244.5 lbs, a pending Rayburn record!  She was 8'2" and had a 44.75" girth.

This is one of my Hog Hunters friends he is having a great year to say the least so far.

Check out this story….  A fella I went to Bridgeport HS with is having an awesome year so far……  He is going for the Nebraska slam with his bow….

First he shot a nice antelope in Aug…..no pics

Then, opening day of deer archery season, he bags a 210” mulie!!!  (pic)

He drew a coveted NE bull elk tag and just took out a 365” bull (currently the NE state record with a bow! Still have to wait the 60days) (pics)

And now he has a real nice 6x6 whitetail posing in front of his trail cam!!

Then, all he needs is a turkey and he will do it…

We were able to get these two amazing axis bucks in hard horns right next to eachother.  Is this bigger axis close to the record?

Picture taken at the Heart A Ranch near Sonora, TX...Multiple bucks this size!

To our amazement, these two 'nice' axis walked through the opening together, one turned to walk away and snap, got the picture just before they disappeared again!
