How Did The First Day of Dove Season Go?
Summary:
Dove season looks very promising this year in the Uvalde area. Three of my nephews went out to the ranch this weekend and hunted doves yesterday. All of them maxed out on the daily 15 dove limit. Here are a couple of pictures that they sent me. Homemaid Hog FeederSummary:
We use the hog pipe at our ranch in Benavides and have good success getting the hogs to come in, problem is they can empty the corn in one night, we are upgrading by putting a trail cam near the hog pipe and gonna put a hog light to hunt the pigs after dark if needed. We alos like to put cut apples in with the corn to keep the scent longer in the pipe and we put gravel rocks in also so when the pipe is empty with corn the pigs can still roll it around and the rocks make noise to attract other pigs. Heat Effecting Deer HuntingSummary:
I read this somewhere hope they are right, we hunt out of Wall. If the dry conditions continue through the rest of the summer we will see poor fawn recruitment this fall, whitetail will probably readily come to deer feeders as a result of less than desirable range conditions and hunters should have pretty good harvest rates,” he said. The deer hunting should be good this year, but poor fawn production could hurt hunters down the road. “Landowners and managers need to encourage hunters to meet their harvest goals for the ranch, regardless of drought or wet conditions.” 3009 results found Next Page >Showing results 1 through 10
