I was very fortunate the last Saturday morning in October to have a run in with one of the big bucks we have been after this season.  We've known about this deer since he was a 3-1/2 year old back in 05-06 (i found his sheds that season).  He didnt get his name until he was  6 1/2.  We named him Prodigal Son becaue his rack went considerably down hill in 07-08 (his rack was lost) but then he found it again in 08-09.   After harvesting him we think the antlers went down hill 2 seasons ago due to an injury to his jaw  (missing front teeth and lip slightly hanging down) in combination with drought conditions.  The buck was 7 1/2 weighed 195 lbs and grossed 160 6/8ths.
