Pheasants Forever (PF) and Quail Forever (QF) are urging all its members take a moment and sign the Petition to Save America's Wetlands. The petition is part of the "We Are Wetlands" campaign. A campaign of the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership (TRCP), "We Are Wetlands" is intended to raise awareness for the importance of wetlands and clean water in our daily lives and why this resource is now more at risk than ever.

Wallace N. Weber, 65, of Russell County, Kansas ended 2008 with the single largest donation ever to Pheasants Forever (PF) and Quail Forever (QF) in the organization's 26-year history.  Weber cites his desire to see his 1,700 acres stay together and managed as a wildlife habitat demonstration unit as critical factors in his decision to make Pheasants Forever the recipient of his gift.

Pheasants Forever was pleased by three recent major announcements related to the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) announced by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). First, the USDA launched new incentive payments for landowners who open up their CRP to public access. Second, the USDA announced it has updated CRP soil rental rates. Both announcements came in a week when the USDA also released a study highlighting the immense benefits of CRP.
