Monte Cruz Ranch is located in deep South Texas in the corners of Maverick, Zavala, Uvalde and Kinney counties. We operate guided hunts for whitetail, dove, turkey, quail, upland, hog, predators and exotics package trips. Our fully furnished 7,500 square foot Spanish Hacienda-style lodge can accomodate up to 28 guests. Ammenities include a great room featuring big-screen satellite TV, internet, full service kitchen, professional gunroom, skeet range, rifle range, 3D archery range, pool table, dining room/meeting room with fireplace, 8 bathrooms, and individual private suites as well as bunk rooms. All hunts include meals and lodging in package price.

TERRAIN/VEGETATION

The scenic Johnson Ranch offers 12 miles of Frio River frontage in addition to four stock tanks.

The Ranch is covered with typical South Texas Mesquite and Huajillo as well as oak, cypress, and pecan trees, native grasses, and various species of cactus.

A diversified terrain of rolling hills, high river banks, bluffs, senderos and draws create an incredible habitat for whitetail deer, turkey, quail, whitewing and mourning dove.

Numerous cultivated fields, including Milo, Sunflower, Dove Weed & Sesame add to the variety of vegetation at Johnson Ranch.
