Summary: This ugly buck was running 2 doe and he needed to go. He was 7 points and yes he does meet the 13" rule. He was about 180+lbs and has ears like a donkey. He was at about 10 yards from me facing me at one time. He was the largest bodied deer hanging at the processor. He was a hoss.

Summary: Deer were moving everywhere. Counted 6 bucks and 7 doe this morning. My buddy George got this 8 pointer. He drove from San Antonio last night and hunted for an hour this morning before bagging this.

Summary: The forest service finally came thru. All but the 3 recreational facilities, the multi-use trails and the Lone Star Trail are open. I'll give a further update next week on the hunting! Now it's time to hunt.
