Summary: Does anyone know the regulations or rules to hunting on a lake in Texas?  Can you just go scout out an area on a lake and hunt?  Are there restrictions to what and where you may hunt? Man you're lucky. There are a ton of good spots around you. I know public land has a couple spots as well as a couple lakes that are open for hunting. If you just talk to the right people and look in the right places you should be highly successful. I personally don't live or hunt there but I've heard from many people that the duck/goose hunting up there is phenominal.
