Search Results:What are the POINTS used for and how are they earned?Summary:
The stars are part of the forum software and are assigned every 500 posts I believe, with a limit of 10. It is suppose to give you a sense of comfort that someone is an active contributor and so you can trust what "help" they are giving you I suppose. The point system is for fun. If we have something to give away, it is going to be offered first to people who have earned points by adding value to the site.
