Dillard & Beuershausen enjoy a BIG win on LBJ as Bass Champs kicks off Central Region

Bass Champs kicked off the first of five events for their Central Region anglers January 28, 2012 on lake LBJ. Twenty one teams were awarded checks in this 105% payback event, but Lance Dillard and Lee Beuershausen were the big winners, taking home more than $25,000.

Bass Champs wraps up 2011 season on Sam Rayburn

There was a lot on the line for anglers as Bass Champs wrapped up the East Region tour on June 18 at Umphrey Family Pavilion on Sam Rayburn. Over $47,000 in paybacks to anglers, final points standings for the winners of the Anglers of the Year race, and qualifying to not one, but four championships later this fall.

Best day ever for Schmidt & Newton at Bass Champs on Ray Roberts

Things could not have gone better for Bass Champs North Region winners Steve Schmidt & Rick Newton on April 16, 2011. “Everything just seemed to be on our side. No matter what we did, it seemed like we couldn’t go wrong!” They won the guaranteed 1st place purse of $20,000 in this incredible 109% payback event.

McCollum brothers dominate the field on Cedar Creek to win over $20,000 at Bass Champs

Summary:

Cedar Creek set the stage for the final Bass Champs North Region tournament 2010. Originally scheduled in January, the extreme winter conditions caused a cancellation, and was rescheduled for September 11. Nearly 150 teams duked it out as lake levels fluctuated with recent rains. Sam and Paul McCollum went deep and won by a landslide.

Barbour goes solo on Tawakoni and wins $20,000 from Bass Champs

Summary:

Chris Barbour took jackpotting to a whole new level when he entered the Bass Champs North Region team tournament on June 19, 2010. Going solo, it was the second time fishing the circuit, he topped a field of 170 teams to win $20,000.

Battle to the finish

Summary:

There are tight competitions where only hundredths of a pound marks the difference in top weights, then there are those that are so close they can?t even be separated by those increments.  Such a day occurred June 12th on Lake Belton. 

It was a near miss for Johnson & Balch who won Bass Champs on Lewisville for over $25,000

Summary:

Fishing was easy – catching was the greatest challenge on Lake Lewisville. Skeeter Bass Champs North Region completed their third of five qualifying events toward the Championship May 15, 2010.

Whited & Polkinghorn worked Lake Travis over to win over $26,000 at Bass Champs

When the fishing is tough and the bass don’t want to bite, what do you do? FISH HARDER! Could a lake actually wear a chastity belt? One has to wonder considering the scant amount of bass weighed in May 8, 2010. Only a dozen teams found limits, and of them Charles Whited and Bill Polkingorn found the biggest to win 1st place for over $26,000.

Smoot & Meyer WIn a Tough Choke Canyon with 26.60 lbs.

Summary:

Choke Canyon set the scene for the South Region of Bass Champs event #4 on May 1, 2010. The wind came from every direction throughout the day keeping every team on the move. Scott Smoot and David Meyer used this to their advantage to win over $20,000.

Viles & Unger win over $21,000 at Bass Champs on Sam Rayburn

Summary:

Anglers from all over the state of Texas, Louisiana, some coming from Mississipi and Arkansas, came to fish on Sam Rayburn with the Bass Champs tournament trail April 24, 2010. Challenged by a ravaged lake from a big bass tournament the week before, coupled with what mother nature had in store, these teams had their job made out for them.
