How did you spend your New Year's Eve? These Texas party animals did a little hog hunting to ring in 2012!

Let the pig chill over night hanging from a front end-loader on a tractor. took it back home and deboned it. FRESH MEAT IN THE FREEZER!

Check out this rack of ribs.  While hog hunting in Sulphur Springs, Texas this hunter popped this sucker right before dark. Lazed him at 85 yards and hit him in the head with a Mark 12 mod 1 ish. Used M855 and he didn't take a step. Nice shooting and nice hog!

Couple of good friends said they had a hog problem and boy they weren't kidding. Bumped into one herd going in but found another herd right away. Started to close in on them and another herd actually cut me off. Poured the lead to them and they fell like dominoes.

Since I couldn't drive in the field, I drug them by hand into two piles. Hogs can cover a lot of distance in the time it takes to cap off 14 rounds. By the time I recovered number 8, I was too tired to look for any more.

Believe it or not , I actually spooked yet another herd on the way out!!

This hog headed hay thief had no idea that this Texas hunter was driving past and saw him.  He crept up to within 25yds and down goes the piggie!

Awesome hog hunt here.  The 1st stalk was in a 30mph wind.  The herds were feeding and moving fast.  The hunter's wife spotted the 2 in the middle and by the time he put the move on the girls they had fled almost 150yds. He hauled but and caught the 2 sows.

The other single was crossing the road by herself. BANG. Dead pig. it happened fast.

His wife then spotted the big boar and it stopped at 100yds. Obviosuly the 308 preformed pretty darn well.  Nice hog hunt!!
