Summary: I am just about ready myself, and I will likewise have difficulty concentrating on all the other responsibilities of life this week. The dove opener is definitely the "New Year's Day" for hunters. Something I like to add to my checklist: maps/directions to the hospital closest to the lease (and one to the nearest veterinarian if a dog is in the group). Hope that I never ever need to use them, but I don't want to be scrambling looking for a hospital in an emergency when it is stressful enough already. I keep these directions in the car and easy to find should I need them. Good luck to everyone -- be sure to post pics and share stories afterward!
