Texas Pride Outdoors ran a tournament at Calaveras Lake and this 13 year old fisherman did a great job in the Redfish Tournament. They caught about 30 reds!!

A few weekends ago, the St. Gabriel's Saber Dads went on our annual fishing trip.  We did some offshore fishing for Sailfish in 1000 feet of water.  We fished the rigs for Red Snapper. And on the 3rd day we rose again and had a great time Bay Fishing for Reds near Rockport, Texas.  Here's a short video/photo montage from the fishing adventure.

It is important to be prepared when fishing. Sometimes, because we are fishing within sight of land, especially when fishing in a bay system, we slack on safety. This person did the right thing and stopped to ride the storm out. Some boats tried to make port.

Junior angler Weston Cordell Hardin, of Farmers Branch, Texas, USA, landed a smallmouth buffalo (Ictiobus bubalus) on June19. The youngster used chicken liver as bait to entice the fish that weighed 2.38 kg (5 lb 4 oz) while he was fishing Catfish Creek, in the Gus Engeling Wildlife Management Area at Tennessee Colony, Texas. If his record is approved Weston will be the first IGFA boy’s junior class record holder for the species.
