The NWTF has awarded David Underwood, of Dimmitt, Texas, a $5,000 National FFA Collegiate Scholarship.

The National Wild Turkey Federation has hired Gene Miller of Canyon, Texas, as its new regional biologist.  Miller will oversee projects pertaining to conserving wild turkeys and other wildlife and preserving our hunting heritage in Oklahoma and western Texas. 

As the disastrous Deepwater Horizon oil spill spreads along the Gulf Coast and threatens to cause lasting damage to land, water and wildlife resources, conservationists have the opportunity to help.

To advance its mission of promoting wildlife conservation and preserving our hunting heritage, the National Wild Turkey Federation distributed nearly $937,000 during the first quarter of 2010 to states and programs through the NWTF Hunting Heritage Super Fund.

As it works to advance its mission of promoting wildlife conservation and protecting our hunting heritage, the National Wild Turkey Federation distributed nearly $73,000 in November of 2009 to states and programs through the NWTF Hunting Heritage Super Fund.

The National Wild Turkey Federation distributed nearly $250,000 in October 2009 as it continues to advance its mission of benefiting wildlife conservation and protecting hunting traditions. The dollars are distributed to states and programs through the NWTF Hunting Heritage Super Fund.

The once rare gobble of the wild turkey is becoming more abundant in areas across North America, thanks to the work of the National Wild Turkey Federation's Making Tracks program.

The National Wild Turkey Federation distributed more than $209,000 in January toward wildlife conservation and hunting heritage projects, an increase of more than 31 percent from December 2008. The monies are distributed to states and programs through the NWTF Hunting Heritage Super Fund.

Elections for three members for the National Wild Turkey Federation's board of directors are final. NWTF members cast their votes and elected Dr. Frank A. Coble of Illinois, and re-elected Gene Denton of Arkansas and Dave Mahlke of Minnesota.

The National Wild Turkey Federation is helping the U.S. Olympic Shooting Team go for the gold this summer in Beijing, China. The Federation is donating a complete 2008 banquet package via an auction on Gunbroker.com to raise money for the team.
