David Morris' 176 7/8" buck from his El Cazador Ranch this morning.

Congrats to David.  He's hunted long and hard for several bucks this season and this 8 1/2 year old monster is a fine conclusion to a long season.

Story and more pics to follow, but here is my buck for this year.

 

188 5/8 gross gross. 

 

171 2/8 gross typical.

 

26 3/8 & 27 2/8 inch main beams.

 

21 1/8 inside spread. 

 

G2's and 3's are 12, 11, 11, 11

 

Over 18" of mass per side.

 

7 1/2 years old.

 

If you were to score him as an 8 (take away his 4's and his non-typical), he would be bigger than the 8 I killed last year.

 

He is SO much bigger than I thought.  First time we've seen him, other than velvet trail cam pics, this year.

This huge main-framed 12 was taken by Dr. Gary Schwarz' wife Marlee several years ago.  He grossed in the high 180's.  I believe the hunt is on one of the Realtree Monster Buck videos.

Who says you have to go to Canada for massive racks?  This guy has it all!

An amazing buck.  I actually have video of him at 2 1/2 in a food plot with other bucks his age...pretty impressive then as well.

Summary: David Morris owns his own ranch (where these are from). They are not from ours. His place and the bucks from it have been in Realtree's Monster Bucks series', and several other shows. Now he has a show with Jeff Foxworthy called the Bucks of Tecomate on the Versus network. I wish they all were from my place, but his is larger and better than ours...just an awesome place that I am very fortunate to guide and hunt on.
