Search Results:Texas Drought Kills Hundreds of Fish
Summary:
There have not been a shortage of fish killed by the Texas drought this summer, and now there are 124,000 more fish added to the death toll from one of the state's most popular bass reservoirs. Biologist's estimates that only 1 percent of the dead fish were game fish, but gizzard shad, bluegill, white bass, freshwater drum, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and white crappie all were victims to the heat. Scary stuff. Click Here to read the full article. My First Turkey
Summary:
This Gobbler had a 10.5" beard, 1" spurs and weighed about 25 lbs or better. Shot w/ Remington Nitro Turkey #5 through my brand new never been shot Benelli Nova 12 ga pump w/ Primos Jelly Head turkey choke. Shot on Davis Island in Tensas Parish, LA (where my father-in-law lives). This was a very special hunt for me and my father-in-law, with many firsts. First time hunting w/ my father-in-law, first turkey I've ever killed, first gobbler he's ever managed to call in for a kill (and man did that gobbler come truckin down that road lookin for love...talk about an adrenaline rush), and first shot through my new shotgun much less killing anything w/ any shotgun. Zeke Gossett Wins Alabama Sports Festival Tournament
Summary:
Zeke Gossett won the Alabama Sports Festival Tournament again! That is two in a row! Zeke used Vicious Pro Elite Fluorocarbon in some of the nastiest off shore structure I have ever witnessed to catch 4 of the five fish he weighed in, but the key fish was caught on 8Lb Vicious Ultimate. This fish weighed 4Lbs. exactly (big fish of the tournament) and was caught under a pier. Zeke skipped his worm so far back under the pier, he had to fight the fish around 4 pier posts before he was able to land the toad. It was a true testament to how well both lines performed. Zeke was the overall winner of the tournament! He fished in the 14 and under but he also beat the 19 and under champion. He also teamed up with another young man and won the 19 and under team championship. I am not sure you are aware that Zeke was asked to open up the games on Friday night. He was the last one to hold the torch to open the games. It was a really neat, once in a lifetime event. After the opening ceremony Zeke was one of the honored guest in a VIP reception. Some of the other honored guests were Lee Greenwood, and Richard Marcinko (this gentleman started the Navy Seal Team that killed Osama Bin Laden). Check out Zeke with two of his fish he caught! 380 results found Next Page >Showing results 1 through 10
