Summary: On Monday, May 28, the Texas Legislature adjourned sine die, ending what could be considered one of the most successful legislative sessions for NRA-ILA and the Texas State Rifle Association! This was another of a string of successful legislative sessions. In 1995, it was the Concealed Handgun Law. In 1997, that legislation was improved. In 1999, there was the legislation preempting municipal lawsuits against the gun industry.
