Search Results:Does Hunting Deer With A Silencer Matter To You?
Summary:
Don't see where there is a need for this regulation. I only know of one person that I met in my whole life time (and I am 60yrs. old) that ever had a silencer. From what he told me and some friends, he had to apply to the FBI to own one and it took him over a year and numberous back ground checks to get his permit. He also told us that the FBI had come to his house on a number of occasions to inspect the weapon after it was suspected that a crime had been committed with a silencer. The only people that I could think of who would like to have one for deer hunting would be road hunters and trespassers. Would make their "SPORT" much easier. As my ex-brother in law once told me ( he is a game warden) anyone can road hunt and get away with it, The thing that makes it hard is the sound of the gun, "When you pull the trigger, the work begans". old sabine bottom wmaSummary:
It's one of the better public land spots, definitely need to spot and stalk - you would be wasting your time posting. The ATV side gets a lot of traffic from both the hog hunters and duck hunters, although, like anything else, if you're willing to walk further than the crowds you can find some "less" pressured hogs. They move around alot on the property so try to concentrate around the bamboo patches and along the river sleuths. Use satelitte imagery to plan your hunt and be sure to hunt into the wind, or you will be wasting your time. Good luck Looking to lease entire deer lease - Dayton,Liberty area (or open)Summary:
I have a 4,200 acre lease in Crockett county near Ozona, Texas and am looking for 10 management minded hunters for a long term year round lease. Please contact me if you are interested. Thanks William ----( e-mail / mekrto@hotmail.com ) Here Come The American HoggersSummary:
Nope. Pardon me for a little skepticism, but it looks to me like another (not so) indirect swipe at hunters. On one hand A & E makes money through the sensationalism a show like that initially garners - few people know how rough hog hunting can get. On the other hand A & E takes advantage of those who will just about sell themselves out for what they get paid to do a show like that, in a sense mocking their excesses and at the same time labeling the rest of us Joes who just love to hunt. How safe is Hunting the SHNF (from drug dealers, not other hunters)Summary:
I have had no problem. I have hunted SHNF for years. I actually hunt an area at 149 and 1375. I have never seen anything wrong. Its kinda stupid to grow marijuana in a forest where there is year round hunting. I think the growers found that out this year. I figure most of the illegal growing is done in national forest and parks where hunting is not allowed. Also I never leave the truck without being armed. Heat Effecting Deer HuntingSummary:
I read this somewhere hope they are right, we hunt out of Wall. If the dry conditions continue through the rest of the summer we will see poor fawn recruitment this fall, whitetail will probably readily come to deer feeders as a result of less than desirable range conditions and hunters should have pretty good harvest rates,” he said. The deer hunting should be good this year, but poor fawn production could hurt hunters down the road. “Landowners and managers need to encourage hunters to meet their harvest goals for the ranch, regardless of drought or wet conditions.” 3220 results found Next Page >Showing results 1 through 10
