THE BEST ADVICE I CAN GIVE, IS ACCORDING TO WHAT YOU WANT TO PAY, GO WITH THE LONGER RANGE RADIOS, LIKE THE 10 MILE RANGE. THEY DON'T NECESSARILY WORK THAT RANGE, DEPENDING ON TERRAIN, BIT IT'S YOUR BEST BET THEY WILL REACH. I LIKE THEM BECAUSE THE CELL TEXTS, DON'T ALWAYS REACH THE PERSON YOU SENT THE MESSAGE TO, AND THAT CAN CAUSE A PROBLEM. RADIOS ARE INSTANT. ONE NIGHT WHILE I WAS HOG HUNTING ALONE, I WAS TO TEXT ON THE CELL WHEN I WAS WALKING TO THE TRUCK IN THE DARK SO MY PARTNER COULD COME IN CLOSER AS THE HOGS WERE EXTREMELY ACTIVE THAT NIGHT. Summary: You are a funny guy! We try to shoot snakes with arrows to, but I think the shake factor prohibits our best shooting. So, we then just pull a pistol and shot them with snake shot. Works a whole lot better! Keep trying. You'll never be successful unless you keep trying. Then, show us the pictures. You look like your entertaining yourself just right while your homesick. July Most Points WINNER!Summary: Here, let me 'splain something. The comment "Unfair" and "reverse descrimination" And I was the reason Conchoman was "robbed"
sends my blood pressure up being I've caught that discrimination for being female hunter all my hunting life. Step in my shoes and listen to those accusations and see what your reaction to it is for a minute. When someone puts me in that comment as the subject, it's not right in my eyes, because I do not roll like that "robbing" someone out of something they earned. I didn't do anything wrong on purpose, but was made to feel like it was my fault and that I" robbed" him. That's distressing to me. I've worked my butt off to make a positive difference in the hunting community, carry a camera around with me, and write stories of my adventures to share, and have personally been screwed on a few hunting contests just because some man didn't like to see me win something, and later, got caught doing it. I don't want to be the subject of adversary. If I am, I want out. It's not fun. So, my way of getting out of the middle of it is to give it to who ever wanted it badly, so I can't be accused of having partiality shown towards me and "cheating" someone else out of what they believe they earned. That just took all the fun out it. It's not worth listening to the negative comments made in my direction and being accused of discrimination, that was made by Duckwhacker. Everything I've ever won was hard earned and not given to me, I promise. Conchomans point was that he wanted to win this by whatever means he had to because he didn't have any photos or stories to submit, so that tells me his goal is about winning, not how he actually did it, or will continue to do it. So, my only answer to that is just give it to him, so he can have what he wants, and No one can accuse me of discrimination, robbing or partiality. That was wrong. It pained me to hear that. I'm here to have fun and enjoy what I can learn and share. I thought it was good sportsmanship to give up to those who complained so there would be no problems as to who was the rightful winner. Again, it was really nice to hear the congradulations by the others. It means alot to me to hear those positive comments from fellow hunters. I would rather see everyone get a pat on the back than a you robbed or cheated negative comment anytime. My reacton is to just fix it.
I declined the gift card because it's not fair for a business to pay double, but later, changed my mind and will use it wisely on my new bow set up.
