Search Results:Does Hunting Deer With A Silencer Matter To You?
Summary:
Don't see where there is a need for this regulation. I only know of one person that I met in my whole life time (and I am 60yrs. old) that ever had a silencer. From what he told me and some friends, he had to apply to the FBI to own one and it took him over a year and numberous back ground checks to get his permit. He also told us that the FBI had come to his house on a number of occasions to inspect the weapon after it was suspected that a crime had been committed with a silencer. The only people that I could think of who would like to have one for deer hunting would be road hunters and trespassers. Would make their "SPORT" much easier. As my ex-brother in law once told me ( he is a game warden) anyone can road hunt and get away with it, The thing that makes it hard is the sound of the gun, "When you pull the trigger, the work begans". hunters neededSummary:
220, the price for the lease is $2,500.00 for each hunter, w/guest allowed with restrictions. We have both water and electric w/ the bill for the electric split evenly between all paid hunters after season. I did not hunt this lease last season because dad and I had some differences with the lease manager. I have talked with the land owner and he has told me that he is removing them due to the fact they would not abide by the lease rules and other reasons. I have hunter this lease for 4 yrs and it has plenty of game. I have seen at least 2 trophy class bucks each year that I hunted there. I need 10 hunters to lease this place and have until April to give the land owner the 50% deposit for it. If you are interested please call or e-mail me and we can visit and I can send you a copy of the lease rules. (Mostly common sense ). You can also find more info on this lease in the guides and lease section of this web site under Crockett county lease. e-mail address ----------mekrto @hotmail.com / phone # 817-475-9723 thanks William mosin nagantsSummary:
Mosin 7.62x54R is a great rifle caliber for almost all large game animanls.... I and my sons have hunted with and taken whitetail and Axis deer with Mosin 7.62x54R in 205grain soft point ammo.It does kick like a mule though...This is close to our American 30-06 cal.If you shoot iron sights....aim 5 to 6 inches below your point of aim.you should be dead on at 50 to 100 yards with this aim.Make sure you shoot it in at your local rifle range to know how it shoots and you know your gun you shoot..The safety or what there is of one...is not to be trusted..so do not place a round in the chamber until you are sure of your target and ready to fire..Also..make sure what you shoot at the rifle range is the same ammo as you use for hunting..different ammo brads will all shoot different..with iron sights and scopes..Very accurate rifle!!This is a great hunting rifle and can be for you too.Hope this helps.. good luck....

Trenton777: Because public land is on National Forest property, there are STATE and FEDERAL rules and regulations. You must have a valid state hunting license as well as the Annual Public Hunting Permit to hunt on U.S.F.S. lands AND obey the additional restrictions which apply to the national forests. In order to understand both, you need to visit the Texas Parks and Wildlife web site and the U.S.F.S. web site. You may hunt from Sept 1 through Aug 31 of the following year and may take any species which is in season for the specific county in which you are hunting. For instance, the Sam Houston National Forest covers three counties, Walker, San Jacinto and Montgomery. All three counties have the same open seasons for exactly the same species so you can't accidentally kill an animal in one county and then traverse over a county line in which the animal is not in season. There is no hunting allowed at night without specific permission by the game warden covering the area you want to hunt so make sure you receive prior approval if you want to hunt hogs or fur bearing animals at night with artificial light. I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me directly and I can answer most of your questions or provide a source to get your question answered. Thanks for the response, been hard trying to get some information out of some. I was in Tyler this last weekend and headed out to the land to see some 10 hogs while fishing (spring fed tank), 2 deer bouncing off as I approached my feeder (it hasnt had corn in it for some time but the deer are close), and saw a few dove. I'll be back up for opening weekend so hopefully my game cam will produce something positive and I'll bag some dove for NFL season opener. Go Cowboys! 3073 results found Next Page >Showing results 1 through 10
