The 2011 season is upon us.  This weekend Bass Champs will begin it's 13th tournament season on Lake Amistad, in Del Rio, TX. 

There are tight competitions where only hundredths of a pound marks the difference in top weights, then there are those that are so close they can?t even be separated by those increments.  Such a day occurred June 12th on Lake Belton.

Bass Champs East Texas Region kicked off their 2010 season on Sam Rayburn January 23, 2010. Weights were stacked tight, with four ties in the money line. Pete Shivers & Doyle Tibbits topped the field of 266 teams to win $20,000.

This time of year many tournament trails have wound down and finished up, making it a great time to have a fun Big Bass Tournament. Skeeter Bass Champs hosted the Dawson / Skeeter incentive event on Sam Rayburn at the Umphrey Family Pavilion July 25, 2009. Ten places were up for grabs each hour totaling $1,900 – a total of 70 winners taking home a part of the purse with one angler winning the grand prize of a Skeeter boat powered by a Yamaha VMax motor.
