National Guard FLW College Fishing is headed to Toledo Bend March 19 for the third of four stops in the Texas Division. Forty college teams will be competing for a top award of $10,000 to be split between the school and bass fishing club; $7,500 for bass club and $2,500 for their school.

The EverStart Series is headed to Choke Canyon January 20-22 for the first of four stops in the Texas Division. As many as 300 pros and co-anglers will be competing for top awards up to $35,000 plus a Ranger boat with an Evinrude or Mercury outboard for the pro and a Ranger boat with an Evinrude or Mercury outboard plus $5,000 for the co-angler.

National Guard FLW College Fishing is headed to Sam Rayburn Reservoir October 28-30 for the Texas Regional Championship. Twenty pre-qualified collegiate teams will be competing for a top award of $50,000 to be split evenly between the school and bass fishing club.

The Toyota Texas Bass Classic (TTBC), the world championship of professional bass fishing, announced its final field of competitors today. The three-day event, to be held on Lake Conroe, combines the top PAA anglers from the FLW Tour, Bassmaster Elite Series and PAA Bass Pro Shops Tournament Series presented by Carrot Stix. The field of 50 anglers will compete for the unified world championship Oct. 1 - 3.

For one day in September, about 250 military members can forget about marching and overseas deployments when the 5th annual Fishing For Freedom tournament kicks off on Belton Lake adjacent to Fort Hood.

Giant Lake Amistad will be a fitting playing field for the April 8-10 season opener of the 2010 Bassmaster Central Open tour.  Signed up to compete on the sprawling impoundment that straddles the Texas-Mexico border are 204 pros and 204 co-anglers.

The FLW Bass Fishing League is headed to Sam Rayburn Reservoir March 6 for the second of five stops in the Cowboy Division series. As many as 400 pro and co-anglers will be competing for top awards of up to $8,000 and $3,000, respectively.

The FLW American Fishing Series is headed to Lake Falcon Jan. 7-9 for the first of three stops in the Texas Division series. As many as 300 pro and co-anglers will be competing for top awards of $25,000 and $10,000, respectively.

The City of Montgomery, Texas is partnering with the Toyota Texas Bass Classic (TTBC) for the Montgomery Hometown Fireworks Extravaganza following the conclusion of the first day of competition on Friday, October 16. The evening will feature a musical performance by the Kyle Hunt Band and will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display. The TTBC will be held October 16 - 18 at Lake Conroe in Montgomery, Texas.
