Applications are now available for $20,000 in scholarships from  the 10th Annual Texas Big Game Awards (TBGA)  Wildlife Conservation College Scholarship Program, sponsored by Carter’s Country Outdoor Stores and the Wildlife Heritage Foundation of Texas.

Texas Sportsmen and Conservation Groups have overwhelmingly endorsed Proposition 11, a constitutional amendment to limit the taking of private property by eminent domain, which will appear on the Nov. 3, 2009 ballot for (early voting is Oct 19-30).

While Richard Louv and his "Last Child in the Woods" efforts are prominent features at the WildLife 2009 next week, several Texas Wildlife Association volunteers made sure this week that 34 Houston youth were given a chance to connect with the outdoors and nature at a special camp in the Hill Country.
