Applications are now available for the 11th Annual $20,000 Texas Big Game Awards (TBGA) Wildlife Conservation College Scholarship Program, sponsored by Carter’s Country Outdoor Stores and the Wildlife Heritage Foundation of Texas.

The Texas Wildlife Association has named Gary Joiner to the organization's newly-created position of Chief Executive Officer.

The Trinity Basin Conservation Foundation (TBCF) will hold its Annual Membership Meeting on October 17, 2008 at the Parten family’s 7J Ranch in Houston County, west of Crockett, Texas.  The theme of this year’s meeting is “Linkages among urban and rural Texans, conservation, and the Trinity River”.

The deadline for applications for the first annual Texas Wildlife Association Foundation (TWAF) Conservation Awards recognizing outstanding quail stewardship is set for August 31!  Note that the application process involves a 2-page form, but only the first page is due now. 

The Texas Wildlife Association (TWA) is celebrating 23 years of promoting effective habitat conservation and responsible hunting through private land stewardship at its annual convention “WildLife 2008,” June 27-28, 2008. The convention, touted as one of the “family-friendliest parties in Texas,” will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio.
