From April until October we have some of the best fishing "I mean catching" in Elgin Texas.  Fish varieties include bass, catfish (up to 20 lbs on one lake and 40 lbs on another), and perch.
 
We will have an on-site taxidermist available to take care of your needs and can ship them to you if needed.

Captain Coufal began his fishing career fishing East and West bays in Matagorda Texas. This is where he had the opportunity to study fishing patterns throughout the years and hone his skills. He then had the opportunity to fish Rockport Texas and was instantly attracted to the vast bay systems that the area had to offer. The unique variety ranging from the deep shell reefs of San Antonio bay, the abundance of back lakes, to the always fish-able grass bottom of Estes flats, made for an easy decision to make Rockport his home. Rockport definitely provides the best opportunity for consistent fishing year-round than anywhere else on the Texas coast.

Fishing styles

Captain Coufal will always work hard to ensure that your outing will be a memorable one. He can accommodate all styles of fishing ranging from: wading with artificial lures, drifting with live bait, or anchoring up to ambush schooling redfish.

The Mosley Ranch was established in 1989 in a small town called Trinity, Texas. It has since been moved to Highway 21 East, near Crockett, Texas, where it is owned and operated by Vernon Mosley Jr.. The ranch consists of 1800+ acres of the best East Texas habitat available.

The land ranges from hardwood and pine timber, to hay meadows and open grasslands. The ranch also has over twenty stocked ponds and lakes that are excellent for fishing.

Our cattle and deer operations offer some of the finest genetics available.

We also offer the best hunting ground available in the East Texas area - from package hunts on high-fenced property to yearly leases on low-fenced properties.  Mosley Ranch also offers Hunting Supplies including feeders, stands, and much more!

Interested in a day of striper fishing? Grab 3 friends and spend the day reeling in 5lb to 8lb stripers on Lake Belton. It is not uncommon to hook a 10lb striper! Limits on stripers are caught 85% of the time. On most trips, you usually reel-in white-bass, black-bass, crappie or even a catfish!

You will be fishing from a 23' SeaCraft Center Console Boat equipped with either a a Honda 225 hp Outboard motor, or with twin Honda 150 hp Outboard motors that will accommodate up to 8 guests. On all fishing trips, we will provide quality fishing tackle for an enjoyable experience. When you come to fish Lake Belton, all supplies will be provided for your trip and your fish will be filleted and bagged, ready to take home!

We are a full time guide service with licensed, experienced and professional guides. We provide a complete fishing service from March through November. We provide all coast guard required equipment, including life jackets. Please let us know if you are bringing young children to ensure we have the appropriate size life jackets. Boats are equipped with GPS, VHF Radios and Lowrance fish finders.

Trips:

• Morning and evening trips available
• Morning trips will begin at daylight at our dock at Pier 36
• Afternoon trips will begin between 2pm and 3pm, depending on time of year
• Trips will last until a limit is caught on Hybrid-Stripers for each fisherman or 4-hours
• Daily Limits: 5 fish per person for Hybrid-Stripers
